URBAN LE Kickoff Workshop

On May 29, 2026, the URBAN LE Solution Lab’s kickoff workshop took place at KUBUS in Leipzig, with approximately 100 participants in attendance. The participants included primarily the partners and researchers from the four sub-projects, as well as interested individuals from the UFZ, since specific projects are to be implemented on the science campus in Leipzig. Following the keynote presentations, there was still plenty of time for networking and discussing specific needs and mutual expectations. 

Stakeholder Kickoff SLRE

The kick-off meeting with stakeholders for the Solution Lab Rur-Erft (SLRE) took place online on 22 May 2026, with around 20 participants. In addition to a brief introduction to the project, the main focus was on answering specific questions from the stakeholders. A key topic discussed was data management.

SOLVE Kick-off-Meeting on March, 23 & 24, 2026

On March 23 and 24, 2026, the kick-off meeting of the SOLVE Solution Lab took place at the Weinberg Campus in Halle. Numerous scientists as well as representatives from industry and government in Germany and the Czech Republic came together to identify and discuss key challenges in water management in the Elbe River basin. Together, they identified existing knowledge gaps and specific needs that will be addressed within the framework of the project over the next three years. The goal is to develop practical solutions and further strengthen the exchange between research and practice.

SLRE Kick-off Meeting

The kickoff meeting for the Solution Lab SLRE took place in Leipzig on February 26–27, 2026. Fifteen scientists from four Helmholtz Centers attended.
